Ingredients

12 oz short pasta

10 oz thinly sliced steak

4 tbsp butter (divided)

1 bell pepper, chopped

1 onion, chopped

1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

2 tbsp flour

3 cups milk

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1 1/2 cups mozzarella

1 1/2 cups white American-style cheese

1/2 cup cheddar

Salt & pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta; drain.
  2. Sear steak in batches; set aside.
  3. Cook onion & pepper in 2 tbsp butter; add Worcestershire; set aside.
  4. Melt remaining butter, whisk in flour (1 min). Add milk, simmer to thicken.
  5. Lower heat, stir in cheese gradually until smooth.
  6. Add pasta, steak, and veggies; mix well.
  7. Season and serve hot.

Notes

  • Thinly sliced steak works best for tenderness and quick cooking.
  • If using frozen steak, there’s no need to thaw before cooking.
  • Avoid high heat when adding cheese to prevent a grainy texture.
  • You can swap the pasta shape depending on what you have on hand.
  • Add a pinch of smoked paprika or chili flakes for a subtle kick.
