Ingredients

5 tablespoons vegan butter alternative

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

4 cups powdered sugar (sifted)

3 tablespoons non-dairy milk (or water if needed)


Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the vegan butter alternative with ½ cup of powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
  3. Gradually add the remaining powdered sugar, alternating with small amounts of non-dairy milk.
  4. Continue mixing until the frosting reaches a smooth, creamy consistency.
  5. Adjust texture as needed:
  6. Add more milk if too thick
  7. Add more powdered sugar if too thin
  8. Spread onto cakes or pipe onto cupcakes as desired.

Notes

  • This recipe makes enough frosting for an 8-inch single-layer cake or about 12–14 cupcakes.
  • For a richer flavor, use a high-quality vegan butter alternative.
