1 cup raw, unsalted cashews
½ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon pink salt
½ teaspoon paprika (optional)
½ teaspoon chaat masala (optional)
1 teaspoon olive oil (optional, for coating)
Instructions
- Place 1 cup of raw cashews in a mixing bowl.
- Add salt, pepper, and a light coating of oil if using. Reserve paprika and chaat masala for later.
- Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (180°C) for 5 minutes.
- Brush or spray cashews lightly with oil, then mix well.
- Spread the cashews in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring no overlap.
- Air fry at 360°F (180°C) for 4–6 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. Four minutes yields a light golden roast; six minutes gives a deeper color.
- After air frying, toss the nuts with reserved seasonings. For oil-free cashews, place seasonings and nuts in a ziplock bag and shake to coat.
- Allow the cashews to cool completely before serving or storing in an airtight container.
