8 Medjool dates, pitted
1 cup raw hazelnuts
3 scoops vanilla or chocolate protein powder (use your preferred brand)
2 tablespoons cacao powder
1 tablespoon almond butter
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 tablespoon warm water
1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Place dates, hazelnuts, protein powder, cacao powder, almond butter, and vanilla extract in a food processor. Pulse until the mixture is well combined.
- Add warm water gradually, pulsing until the mixture starts to come together.
- Stir in chocolate chips using a spoon or your hands.
- Roll the mixture into uniform bite-sized balls.
- Chill in the freezer for 15 minutes or until firm.
- Store in a covered container in the fridge for up to one week, or freeze for longer storage.
