Garlic Roasted Cabbage Steaks – A Simple Low Carb Side Dish

Ingredients

1 head green cabbage (about 32 oz)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. In a small bowl, mix together garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

  3. Spray a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray.

  4. Slice the cabbage into 1-inch thick steaks.

  5. Brush both sides of each cabbage steak with olive oil, then sprinkle evenly with the seasoning mixture.

  6. Place the cabbage steaks on the prepared baking sheet.

  7. Roast for 30 minutes, then carefully flip each steak.

  8. Roast for an additional 30 minutes, or until the edges are browned and crispy.

  9. Remove from oven and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust seasoning to taste. You can also add smoked paprika or chili flakes for extra flavor.
