Ingredients

¾ cup sour cream (about 170 g)

2 tablespoons mayonnaise (about 30 g)

3 tablespoons finely chopped fresh dill (about 12 g)

1 teaspoon lemon zest

1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice

½ teaspoon garlic powder

Salt, to taste

Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine the ingredients
In a medium bowl, add the sour cream, mayonnaise, chopped dill, lemon zest, lemon juice, and garlic powder.
  2. Mix until smooth
Stir thoroughly using a spoon or small whisk until the mixture is creamy and evenly combined. Make sure the dill and lemon zest are well distributed.
  3. Season to taste
Add a small pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper. Stir again and taste. Adjust seasoning as needed. The sauce should taste bright, fresh, and slightly tangy.
  4. Chill for best flavor
Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. This resting time allows the flavors to meld and develop.
  5. Final adjustment
Before serving, taste once more and adjust salt or lemon juice if necessary. Serve chilled alongside your favorite seafood dish.
